Color in the Catskills Festival September 30th-October 2 2011 at Hunter Mountain

All brands of motorcycles are welcome to attend. There will be something for everyone. We will have off road events, sport riding, sport touring, and touring rides set up for your self guided enjoyment. There will be a number of high quality motorcycle vendors on site in addition to the Oktoberfest vendors. Seminars will be offered on topics of interest to all motorcycle riders. There will be daily entertainment on site on Saturday and Sunday as part of the Oktoberfest activities. Chair lift rides will be available to the summit of Hunter Mountain for stunning views of the “Colors in the Catskills”. You can even rent a mountain bike to take up the chair lift with you and then ride down Hunter as fast as you wish for a definite adrenaline rush!

We will be offering free off road riding skills schools on Saturday and Sunday led by members of TEAM MAX of Pikes Peak and RallyMoto fame. Here is your chance to find out what your off road or dual sport bike is really capable of doing with some training. MAX BMW has also arranged for the BMW Demo Truck to be on site Saturday offering rides on the latest BMW models.

Come join us for a day or the entire weekend. Last year 2,300 riders joined us for some part of the weekend activities. Bring all your friends along to enjoy the “Colors in the Catskills”.

Oktoberfest at Hunter Mountain October 1-2 and 8-9, 2011

Oktoberfest features authentic German and German-American entertainment in the beauty of the northern Catskills in autumn. Our modern celebration of the harvest features a farmers market, plenty of vendors, free crafts and pumpkin painting for the kids, and much more. We are happy to let our friends know that Scribner Hollow is looking great and open for business.  Despite the severe impact of Hurricane Irene on our nearest neighbors in Windham and Prattsville, we were fortunate that our hilltop location did not expose us to the flooding here in Hunter that other communities experienced.  All our main roads are open and Scribner is decorated for the Fall Season and ready to receive our guests to celebrate the splendor of Autumn in the Mountains.  

Hunter Mountain is also open and conducting business as usual.  We can’t think of anything more exhilarating than taking the Zip Line Tour through the Fall Foliage.  If you prefer to take in the sights at a slower pace, then the Sky Ride is right up your alley.
